Join Week Purpose In Action: Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) and the Midterm Elections

The District will implement Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) for the June 2026 primary election. During a pivotal time when DC Home Rule and Statehood are being challenged and many of our elected officials are up for election, join Thursday Network in partnership with Grow Democracy DC Civic Education Fund for a Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) presentation and demonstration as we head into the 2026 midterms. Come prepared to know what’s at stake and be informed. Voter registration will be on site in addition to mock ballots from the DC Board of Elections (DCBOE), and Ranked Choice Maryland informational resources. A mock election using Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) will be conducted as well. 

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to view the Freedom & Resistance Exhibit: An Exhibition Inspired by the 1619 Project on the first floor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. Our presentation will begin promptly at 7:00 pm EST in Conference Room 401-G. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the library cafe  on the first floor of the library.
