Thursday Network's 2009 Personal & Professional Development Workshop Series
Empower yourself with personal and professional development by attending the Thursday Network PPD Series designed specifically for young professionals focused on taking their skills to the next level.
The second workshop in the three-part PPD Series will focus on Leadership and Public Speaking for the Young Professional and take place on Saturday, March 21, 2009, starting 11 a.m. at the Greater Washington Urban League (2901 14th Street NW, Washington, DC).

The National Urban League State of Black America 2008
The National Urban League 2008 edition of the State of Black America report is subtitled "In the Black Woman's Voice." As the subtitle suggests, the report provides the black female perspective of the challenges that currently confront women of color in America.
It also includes an essay from Greater Washington Urban League President and CEO Maudine R. Cooper entitled, "The Invisibility 'Blues' of Black Women in America."
