Since its inception on Thursday, February 27, 1992, Thursday Network has made great strides as one of first the young professional auxiliaries within the National Urban League family and the first of many groups created in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with the purpose of bringing together like-minded young adults for civic service, political engagement, and personal and professional growth.

From now until September 30, 2009, Thursday Network is asking its members and supporters to make a $17 donation to the organization in celebration of the organization's 17 years of service to the Washington, DC metropolitan area. A majority of the donations made to Thursday Network's 17th Anniversary Giving Campaign will go towards the I EMPOWER Scholarship Fund and the Greater Washington Urban League.

Donations of $17 can be made via PayPal at the following link and attributed to the Thursday Network member of your choice. Donations greater than $17 can be made here. All donors will receive a special gift of appreciation for each donation made to the Giving Campaign and recognition in Thursday Network's website and various promotional materials (i.e. electronic newsletter, etc.).

At the end of each month, the Thursday Network member to have the most donations attributed to their giving efforts will receive a small prize and the top three members at the conlcusion of the campaign (Sept. 30, 2009) to receive the most donations will receive a very special prize.
